Background

Kathleen is a doctoral student in the Department of Communication Sciences at the University of Connecticut in Storrs, CT.  Her clinical and research interests are in the area of neurogenic communication deficits in adults with traumatic brain injury.

Youse, K.M., Coelho, C.A.  Analysis of Discourse Abilities Following Brain Injury.  This research project investigates written and verbal discourse abilities in adults with brain injury.  This project is supported by a Hartford Hospital New Investigators Research Grant (see below).

Youse, K.M., Cienkowski, K.M., Coelho, C.A.  Auditory-Visual Speech Perception in Adults with Aphasia.  This research project investigates the McGurk effect as a measure of auditory-visual speech perception abilities by adults with aphasia.
